Ludwigsburg
The district Ludwigsburg belongs to the commune Loissin and inspires as a special excursion destination with the historical largely original preserved palace and the estate.
The dreamy and idyllic village of Ludwigsburg is adorned by a white chapel dating back to 1708. The bell ringing consists of a bell donated by Jacob Heinrich Müller von der Lühne in 1709.
The famous Ludwigsburg Palace is one of the last preserved Renaissance buildings of the Pomeranian dukes. It was originally built as a widow's residence for the wife of Duke Ernst Ludwig of Pomerania-Wolgast between 1577 - 1592. The spacious garden belonging to the castle invites visitors to linger. The old estate grounds in an enchanted Sleeping Beauty atmosphere are partly used for tourism. The association for the promotion of the palace and estate organizes a herb and smoking market four times a year. A farm store on the grounds offers regional products. The complete renovation of the palace and the buildings belonging to it will take several more years. For this reason, only parts of the complex are currently open to the public.
Experience the history of Vorpommern up close with examples of old buildings and be inspired by the original nature!
