Seaside Resort Lubmin
Lubmin is the only seaside resort at the bay coastline and with its long sandy beach offers ideal conditions for a relaxing holiday at the sea.
The area is very popular with sailors and surfers because of its extensive shallow water zone. Bike paths and designated walking trails along the Bay of Greifswald and by the pine forests of the Lubmin heath, invite to sporting excursions. The historic station building now houses the spa and accommodation service. Previously, the building served as a stopping point for the former small rail tracks between Greifswald and Wolgast. In addition to the 350m long pier and villas in the style of resort architecture, the Petri church can be visited in Lubmin.
Directly between the mouth of the Peene and the Hanseatic city of Greifswald is the Marina Lubmin. Equipped with all necessary facilities, the Marina offers an ideal stopping point for all water sports. It not only has a sanitary area and a bicycle rental. On the former passenger ship MS Vaterland large and small captains can strengthen in the ship's restaurant. Once a year, the imposing harbor festival takes place in the marina, where a traditional regatta is performed.
