Project Objective and Information
The overall project objective is to turn smaller harbours into inclusive "Maritime Experience Points" for land tourists, launching a new marketing approach around the "new harbour life" in the South Baltic Area to renew its maritime destination profile and reinforce attractiveness.
The main target groups are municipalities and harbour operators, DMOs and local tourism offices, local residents and tourists as well as potential visitors.
The project involves nine partners from Germany (2), Denmark (1), Sweden (1), Poland (3) and Lithuania (2). The partnership is composed of destination management organisations, local and regional authorities, a NGO, and associations of local and regional authorities.

Freest I GER - Fishery port in transition to recreational harbour
Hörte I SE - Abandoned fishery harbour taken over by a local NGO
Darłowo I PL - Combined commercial, fishery and leisure boat harbour in seaside resort
Dreverna I LT - Former fishery harbour turned into an attraction for land tourists - and facing overtourism
