The Uecker
The Uecker rises in the neighboring state of Brandenburg and, as the name reveals, flows into Ueckermünde. And along this Vorpommer river, a lot of nature, joy and relaxation in the countryside awaits you.
In the Brandenburg part, the river still bears the name »Ucker«. The river name is closely linked to the Slavic tribe of the Ukranes named after the river, which had a fortified trading center in the Oberuckersee on Lake Burgwall.
