Pasewalk

On a tour of Pasewalk you can discover historical remains from the Middle Ages: history and culture are refurbished at original locations - Pasewalk invites you to a stroll through knowledge.

Historical

The city wall, towers and two traditional wall gates testify to the time of the knight's orders and Pomerania. The city museum is located in the Prenzlauer Tor today. This shows exhibitions on the original and early history of the Uecker region, the city and garrison history of Pasewalks and an exhibition about the artist Paul Holz. From the then 2488 m long and 6 to 9 m high city wall, some components are still well preserved today. For example the powder tower or the so-called »Kiek-in-de-Mark« tower. This represents the current landmark of the city.

Experience history

Three Gothic churches also adorn the Pasewalk cityscape. The brick gothic St. Nikolai church is the oldest of the three churches. It was mentioned in 1176. The three -aisled hall church of St. Marien from the 13th century is located directly on the market. Your tower is home to the greatest ringing in Western Pomerania. The youngest church is the St. Otto. It was built in 1885 and named after the Pomeranian Missionar Otto von Bamberg.
