Inland or coast of coast, from Szczecin Haff to Recknitz, from Greifswald Bodden to the Peenetal. On this page we present a selection of the most beautiful bike tours in Western Pomerania.

A large number of regional circular paths, but also extensive sections of popular bike paths offer a wide range of route and many options for individual tour planning across Western Pomerania. Relaxed one-day tours can be expanded with the canoe at varied multi-day or combination tours. Thematic cycling paths such as the route of North German Romanticism between Greifswald and Wolgast or the August Bartelt educational path near Ueckermünde bring the historical and landscape peculiarities of the region close. In addition to plenty of untouched nature in the nature parks on the Stettiner Haff and River landscape Peenetal , the tours lead, among other things, through Anklam and Greifswald - two Hanseatic cities with history - or through quiet corners such as the Lassan angle . All starting and destinations can be easily reached by train. On the way through dreamy towns in a further landscape, refreshments such as small cafes, down -to -earth restaurants and farm shops with regional products found here and there. Large sections have already been expanded as well -accessible cycle paths. Nevertheless, the way of travel can vary depending on the tour and the discovery tours across the Pomerania can also be made adventurous.

Cycling and paddling in the Peenetal - nature in sight

Peeneniederung is one of the most beautiful original electricity valleys in Europe, characterized by an abundance of calm, wide and nature, it is the optimal accompaniment for an extensive combined canoeing and bike tour.

Combined canoe cycling tour (25 km):

This 1-day combination tour invites you to discover the Amazon of the north up close. The unique landscape of the Peenetal can be admired both on the water and in the country.

It starts in Anklam and leads about 9 km above the Peene to Stolpe. A stopover at the Menzlin jetty is attractive, as the natural monument "Altes warehouse" examines and the observation tower on the Polder Menzlin can be climbed. Once in Stolpe, the place attracts with the Wartislaw Memorial Church, a monastery ruin and a manor house with a park that invites you to a picnic.

The Peene is a protected river landscape that has been a proven nature park since 2011. This is a nature park of the "Adventure River Landscape" nature park is located in Stolpe. The bike continues via some farm roads, less busy country roads and a short section on the B199/110. Arrived in the Hanseatic city of Verlam, the Marienkirche, the Nikolaikirche, the city gate and the Otto-Lilienthal Museum are waiting for a visit.
